Ramblings of the mind. Treat the “you” as me talking to myself. Copium.

  1. You can do new things and learn new things at any time and any age. It might be scary and it might take time but as long as you are alive and able it is possible.
  2. When developing some sort of new skill, you learn the most by doing. Imagining it in your head won’t necessarily get you any closer to doing it in real life, at some point you must take action regardless how you feel about it.
  3. You will never succeed unless you try. Failing is a natural part of trying. Failing indicates that you are trying. You might fail a lot, but you can only ever succeed if you keep trying.
  4. Do it whilst scared, eventually it will not be as scary.
  5. You can fail skillfully, so that even when you fail you can pick yourself up more easily to try again.
  6. You will not always have full control of every situation, the very least you have control over yourself (decisions, actions, thoughts).
  7. Others can give you advice and show you how to do things, but at some point you have to try yourself. Only you can overcome the difficulties, others can’t overcome it for you.
  8. You don’t have to be the best or a professional to enjoy things.
  9. There is value in the process of getting better at something, not just the end result of being better.

You know I realized it’s just a lot about failing and then trying again and getting better and failing and trying again. I guess that’s life.
